Abstract：Abstract As a traditional human settlement space, the Chinese ancient village is noted for its own unique characteristics. Firstly, it is close to nature, in harmony with mountains and waters, and it has the environment conception of "taking mountains as the frameword and waters as the blood lineage"; Secondly, influenced by the settlement style of "the Land of Peech Blossoms", it has gradually made it a dream for the inhabitants to pursue a tranquil and lyrical village life; Thirdly, it attaches importance to consanguinity and clan assemblage, thus evidently displays etiquette order and goodclanly traits. The ancient village is the object of the study of Science of Human Settlement Culture, Which is an important supplement to the increasingly rising study of Science of Human Settlement Environment.
